Thank you for considering the Cambridge Curling Club for your next group outing!

 

Corporate Event - Club Rental Form

The curling club is available for private gatherings, including on the ice or just clubhouse use.  The CCC will provide the equipment necessary for curling.  Individuals can bring personal curling equipment if desired.  If there is not a CCC member in your group we will provide a member to be at the club during your event. To make a reservation, contact the Event Coordinator or complete this form and send it to the club even coordinator.  (See Event Coordinator contact info below)

Corporate Event Guidelines

      A CCC board member or designee must be present at all times during the event.  The CCC member will assistance in curling techniques and instructions for new curlers.  

      Rental Rate is $300 for up to 3 hours and an additional $100 for each additional hour. The fee is due at the beginning of your event or sooner.  The curling club can accept cash or a check.  Special credit card payments can be arranged and require a week advance notice.  A processing fee will be added to all credit card payments.

      Rental Time Slots:  9:00am-12:00, 1:00pm-4:00, 5:00pm-8:00

      Food and beverages are allowed in the clubhouse.  You are welcome to bring something to enjoy after your curling experience.  We have a small kitchen area with a serving counter; use of stove, refrigerator and a microwave are included in the club rental.   

 

Non-Member Learn to Curl Form

The curling club is available for learn to curl private gatherings, including on the ice or just clubhouse use.  The CCC will provide the equipment necessary for curling.  Individuals can bring personal curling equipment if desired.  If there is not a CCC member in your group we will provide a member to be at the club during your event. Private Event Guidelines:

Members Casual Ice/Club Rental Form

The clubhouse is available for small casual gatherings to Cambridge Curling Club members.  Groups greater than 4 people (size of a team), may rent the clubhouse for a small rental fee; see details below.  Groups consisting of 24 people or more; i.e. church groups, social clubs or other non-corporate gatherings, may be asked to pay the corporate even fee.  It will depend on the amount of volunteer support requested for teaching new curlers.  The Club Event Coordinator is responsible for deciding what fee is appropriate for each group.   

Go to the CCC Club event calendar on the cambridgecurlingclub.com web page to select the preferred date and time slot of your event.  Active members can reserve the club by contacting the Club Event Coordinator, (Tom Heinen 763-321-1666).  Club rentals are reserved in 3 hours slots: 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm.  At least one club member is required to be at the Club during the event.  The Club Event Coordinator can assist in unlocking and securing the club house if needed.

Member Casual Event Guidelines:

1.    If you have a group of new curlers and would like assistance in teaching them to curl.  The Coordinator can provide assistance as needed.  New curlers footwear: participants MUST carry clean footwear (sneakers) to the club.  Soles MUST be clear.  If participants are not wearing “curling” shoes they are required to wear slip-on shoe covers provided by the Curling Club…even if their shoes are clean. The shoe covers (grippers) add a level of safety for the new curlers.  Grippers provide better stability on the ice then normal sneakers.  

2.     Group Leaders responsibilities:

a.     Ensure your participants are safe on the ice; you are responsible for their safety. We recommend using the step-on step-off sliders for new curlers.   

b.      Ensure participants don’t left the rocks up or throw them into the hacks at high speeds.   

c.     Please clean up the clubhouse when you are finished.  Vacuum is in the locker by refrigerator if needed.  Please leave the clubhouse cleaner then  you found it. 

d.     Make sure lights are all turned off (including bathroom) when you leave.  Locker room door MUST be kept open and ensure the Club door is locked and secure.  The Club Event Coordinator can assist with securing the Club if needed.

3.       Pop is available for all participants.  PLEASE donate a little extra for consuming pop.

4.       All participants must sign a participation release form before entering the arena.

Members Ice Rental Fee – The minimum fee per Member Event is $50. The fee for each non-member is $10. The total fee is dependent on the number of non-members, but is at least $50 per event.  Club Rental is one of the Clubs’ fund raisers so we appreciate member donations too.  Donate what you can.  Please contact Tom Heinen 763-321-1666, or teheinen@outlook.com to schedule your event.  

   

 

Ice Guidelines:

       It is very important that the ice surface remain extremely clean.  Small pieced of debris, lint or hair can cause the curling stone to deflect off course.  These are some guidelines to ensure your curling experience is enjoyable.

       Footwear - MUST carry clean footwear (sneakers) to the club.  Soles MUST be clear and all small pieces of debris and dirt must be removed.  If participants are not wearing “curling” shoes they are required to wear slip-on shoe covers provided by the Curling Club.

       Clothing - Wear stretchy or loose-fitting clothing.  Clothing must be clean, no pet hair or loose dirt or fibers.  Try not to wear fleece.  It has a lot of loose fibers.  The arena is about 35-38 degrees so dress appropriately.

       Care of Ice - Rocks must only be slid into positon in preparation for delivery.  At NO TIME are rocks to be carried.

       All participants must sign a participation release form.
